Let It Snow

Still falling! I've already shoveled once today. Of course right after I shoveled about 4 inches off the deck, the snow fell off the roof.
Murphy's Law.

We're expecting 6-12 inches by tomorrow morning. I guess when I wished for snow, someone was listening.

It's so incredibly beautiful. I have more pics, of course. I'll post slowly :)

This Morning

Too Much Time

It's 7am right now.
I've been up since 4:30am. It's 27 degrees and several inches of snow are on the ground.
It's really beautiful. Still dark though, so no photos yet. Funny, the first thing I think of is my camera when I see the snow.

I sit here staring at this monitor with about a million things to tell you, and I have no idea where to start. Which brings me back to my previous post about blogfriends/family. Have we become such a family that I now can't tell you certain things? What would you think? Would you disapprove of my thoughts? Will one of you think I'm talking about you? Will you feel sorry for me? Will you be proud or disappointed?

Unless you have an anonymous blog, how honest can you really be? I do realize our blogs are for us, and I also believe that most of my friends are non-judgemental. Even though, I don't believe that any of us can honestly say we don't judge. I'm pretty non-judgmental I think...but who knows when I'm presented with certain situations, what I will really think?
When I do write my posts, I do think about the reactions. Don't we all? Do you not go back and edit or delete? Rethink what you just wrote? I do it all the time.

I've had so many different emotions going through mind lately. There's a lot of conflict. Not bad conflict necessarily, but just conflict.

*
I'm not a social person by any means, so where I live is just about perfect for me. But I'm starting to miss those little get-togethers with friends. A stop at a coffee shop with a friend and have coffee and a scone. A stop at the local bar for a few margaritas. I miss that.
*
I love living in the mountains and forest, being surrounded by wildlife and the different seasons. But I also miss being able to run to the bookstore and wander around for hours. Or going to a bakery and picking out cute little pastries. Or, grabbing chinese on the way home.
*
I kind of miss knowing people in person. Sounds wierd, but you get it. I talk to almost everyone I know through my computer. Which, would normally be my main choice. I really don't like talking on the phone. I like being able to talk to you with my hair a mess and pj's on. It doesn't matter what I look like. My desk is an absolute mess, and at least always has one cat sleeping somewhere on it, but you don't know that, (well, now you do) and I bet you don't care. I like that.
*
Then there's just emotion in general. That's what I don't know how to talk about. My hubs has always joked that I'm more like a guy then a girl in the emotion/sensitivity department.
I'm not very emotional or sensitive. Even though there are a few out there that may know better than that. What's funny is that I don't normally show that side of myself, and when I do,I feel a barrier has been broken. I've let too much out. I can't take it back. Sometimes I suffer for that decision. So, it's easier not to even show it.

*
So, that takes me back again the whole idea of anonymous blogging. Would that be the easier way? To just start a totally different blog with some name like, ummm, Gracie Lou Frebush, and just spill it all out for the world to see? Would I feel better to just let it all go, because no one will know it's me? Or can I handle not having real friends give me their advice and opinions???
I'm not sure if I'd like that route. Or would I? Would you? Do you sometimes just want to let loose and release every emotion- anger, love, stress, lust, happiness, guilt, dreams?
*
Ahh..the inner conflict. :)
It's snowing again.....it's still dark and I need more caffeine. My brain is tired again.
**and don't start looking for that Gracie Lou Frebush blog...it's not there. Not yet anyway :)

Mud Art

Check this out. This is frozen mud on the hub's truck. Yes, his truck is filthy, I remind him all the time. But...the pattern is too cool.

Staying Home

I was supposed to go in to the big city today for some shopping. We are supposed to get some pretty good winter weather so I wanted to get it out of the way since hubby is outta here today.
Well...
It hit last night. Of course. It's cold, snowy and very windy. I can deal with cold and snow, but not wind. Ick. So, Here I am.

Great responses to my post yesterday, thanks so much!
It actually goes on from there, but I'm not finished.

I tried to do this Meme below and finally gave up. I was going to delete it, but then thought I'd share it anyway and see what you guys come up with.

Do You Really Know Me?

*Warning--pretty long post ahead. I think.

I read a blog post today which really had my mind going today...and frankly it's tired.
So, I'm going to release it all right here, so bear with me. :)

This girl, I'll call her Grace, which of course is not her real name, has a blog I read every other day or so. It's a pretty wild blog, and she's very open about her life. Her family does not know about it. Until now.
A friend of a friend found it somehow and of course shared it with her family. She was pretty upset about it.
She had three decisions to make. Take it down? Edit it? Or say f*ck it and leave it up. She decided on the latter. I was pretty impressed.

One thing she said though that really got my brain going was that she wasn't willing to give up her blogging friends. Wow.
Our blogging friends. This whole concept, as I've thought about it all morning, is really amazing.

We've all made friends through our blogs. Some we know well, some we don't.
Some of us share our blogs with family/friends. I don't. My hubs knows about my blog but doesn't read it. I could bet you money he doesn't even remember the title of it.
Why don't I share this with friends/family? There's nothing that exciting on it.

Some of us use our real names, some don't. We laugh together, we cry together, we worry. We miss you when you're gone. We send prayers when you're sick. We send gifts and cards. And we've NEVER met. (Well some of us anyway)
I can go a couple of weeks not really noticing or caring if a real-life friend calls. But I sure notice if a blog friend is gone for a few days. We all do. If someone doesn't post for a few days, we all wonder why. Are they sick? Did something happen? Are they upset with me? Did I offend?

Why is that? Why are we so concerned about people we don't really know? Do we really know each other? I talk to some of you on a pretty regular basis. Some of you know me very well. Some might even know things about me that no one else knows. And, I only know you through this monitor in front of me. Will we ever meet? I know there's a possibility I might meet some of you. And then there's a few I know I will never meet. So why do I share this information with you? How do we build a trust with online friends that feels more secure then with people we know in real life? I've talked to some that don't even use their real name. I've shared information I would never tell a real-life friend. You'd be surprised what goes on in this little head of mine sometimes.

It boggles my mind.

I read another post today of a girl who has her main blog, and then she has a complete seperate one without any personal information and this one she just spews whatever she wants. Nobody knows who she is. I've thought about doing this. Complete freedom. But of course, there's a whole new set of blog friends.

We'd like to say we blog for ourselves, and maybe some of us do. But I like talking to you. I post pictures for you. I try to be funny, even though I know I'm horrible at it. I don't always comment on the blogs I read because I either don't have enough knowledge of what your posting about, no experience, or don't feel like my input would make sense. I'm one of those people that thinks I sound stupid. Just one fault of my many. But that's a whole different posting subject.

Anyway. Blog-friends, let me just say I appreciate you. I've had so much entertainment and laughter from you. You boost my ego daily with my photos and you make me smile:) I look forward to reading about you daily, and look forward to hearing from you too.

I have more friends in blogworld then I've ever had in real life. And I definitely like ya'll better.

Just A Peek

Check this out. Last night the sun was peeking through the clouds just enough to leave these bright spots on the mountain. I just thought it was too cool.

Movie Day

I watched three movies yesterday.

Two "guy" movies with the Hub....
Bullitt with Steve McQueen, which I could have easily passed on. It did have a cool chase scene and a very cool mustang in it. Me like mustangs :)
Then we watched
Con Air. Not a bad movie. I've actually seen bits and pieces many times, but never watched it all the way through. I liked it.
Then I watched
Chicago. Alone, I might add. I'm not a huge musical person, but I did like this one.

It's 5:30am, snowing, and very chilly in the house this morning. The woodstove doesn't seem to be heating the upstairs too well. Hubby heads out tomorrow and of course the real snow is supposed to hit this week. We're going into Couer d'Alene later today to go to Costco..Yay! Time to stock up on a few essentials before the big snow hits.

Oh and Hub is taking my new truck tomorrow. I know you're all shocked.

What If?

If you were given a chance to be reincarnated:

Would you be thankful or be wishing that you were dead?
*Thankful. I don't want my life to just end, I want to move on.

What living thing do you wanna come back as and why?
(any human, yourself, animal, insect, plant, disease, angel, devil, alien, etc)
*A cat. I've always connected with them. I've been called a "whisperer" because I can usually get any cat to come to me. When I worked in the animal ER, I could usually calm down the aggressive/scared cats.

While wondering around on earth, where would you go first of all?
* I'd find someone like me to take me in and spoil me, keep me inside and feed and pet me often.

Would you make your second chance purposeful?
*hmm, as a fat spoiled house cat, probably not. I would get in lots of eating and sleeping and not worry about my weight.

Should your reincarnation be a secret or would you spread it around? Why?
Definitely secret. Then I can be a sneaky cat and check up on ya'll. :)

The Day After

Okay, so my Thanksgiving post wasn't very fun was it??
It really was a good day until the very end.

We went to our neighbors, which we do every year. Their family was there too, and we already feel like we belong. We all bring our dogs, which is quite the show. Brock towers over all of them, so it's fun.
We had a great meal, organic turkey, homemade rolls, stuffing ( of course), mustard greens, some-kind-of-potato-dish with marshmallows on it (ick), mashed potatoes, and organic peas. Very yummy.
I was watching the Cowboys game all by myself. Muted most of the time, but that's okay.
The hubby always finds it funny that I'm in the room with the guys, drinking beer, while the women are all in the kitchen yakking. I've always been that way I guess.
I did help clean up though.

One of the girls had her new baby there. I'm not much of a baby person, but this little girl, Leila, was just adorable. I just wanted to hold her all the time, of course I probably hold her like a complete dork.

As for the bad part of the evening? Well I'm not sure I want to talk about it yet, but I will say that as most of you know I am *extremely* sensitive when it comes to animals.
I don't deal with hunting season very well.
I'm not a member of Peta or anything, and I don't give the hunters a hard time...I realize it's just part of living here. My hubby even hunts, which surprised me at first since I'd never heard the words come out of his mouth..but I accept it. We compromise.
Part of the deal is, he can't bring any of it home until it's in white paper and labeled.

Anyway..I'm babbling way too long. The point is, I was surrounded by hunters last night as they headed out after to dinner to hunt. It was hard to avoid the stories and the yuck. One particular thing I heard just about sent me into tears. I held back of course, considering I'm surrounded by all these men, but it really about made me sick. At that exact moment I wanted to pack up and move back to the city.

Of course I won't.
Just now on the news I saw people being trampled when they opened the doors at Walmart. WTF?
Cindy Sheehan....I seriously DISLIKE this woman. I don't use the word hate much, so we will used DISLIKE.

Want to laugh? Go check out
This found over at Laura's.

Oh and go check out
Samantha Burns. I guessed the Moron of The Week!! WooHoo!
And if you like her blog, go vote for her at the Canadian Blog Awards for best humor blog. You can vote daily.

We're expecting snow all week. Up to 3 inches tonight, and 3 inches tomorrow.
Hopefully I'll start having some good snow photos soon! Yay. Warm Fuzzy :)

We might go get a tree today. We go to a tree farm and for $15, can have any size tree we want and cut it down ourselves. Another warm fuzzy.
If Critter doesn't destroy it.

Where Pets Came From

A newly discovered chapter in the Book of Genesis has provided the answer to "Where do pets come from?"

Adam and Eve said, "Lord, when we were in the garden, you walked with us every day.
Now we do not see you any more. We are lonesome here, and it is difficult for us to remember how much you love us."
And God said, I will create a companion for you that will be with you and who will be a reflection of my love for you, so that you will love me even when you cannot see me.
Regardless of how selfish or childish or unlovable you may be, this new companion will accept you as you are and will love you as I do, in spite of yourselves."

And God created a new animal to be a companion for Adam and Eve. And it was a good animal. And God was pleased. And the new animal was pleased to be with Adam and Eve and he wagged his tail. And Adam said, "Lord, I have already named all the animals in the Kingdom and I cannot think of a name for this new animal."
And God said, " I have created this new animal to be a reflection of my love for you, his name will be a reflection of my own name, and you will call him DOG." And Dog lived with Adam and Eve and was a companion to them and loved them. And they were comforted. And God was pleased. And Dog was content and wagged his tail.

After a while, it came to pass that an angel came to the Lord and said, "Lord, Adam and Eve have become filled with pride. They strut and preen like peacocks and they believe they are worthy of adoration. Dog has indeed taught them that they are loved, but perhaps too well."
And God said, I will create for them a companion who will be with them and who will see them as they are.
The companion will remind them of their limitations, so they will know that they are not always worthy of adoration."
And God created CAT to be a companion to Adam and Eve. And Cat would not obey them. And when Adam and Eve gazed into Cat's eyes, they were reminded that they were not the supreme beings.

And Adam and Eve learned humility. And they were greatly improved.
And God was pleased.
And Dog was happy.
And Cat didn't give a shit one way or the other.

End of Day

Well this Thanksgiving was interesting.

We had great food with great friends.
The guys headed out hunting while the women cleaned up (shocker).
Actually, I grabbed a few beers and watched the Cowboys game. They lost in overtime. Blah.

Two of the dogs, (yes, everone brings their dogs too) had rolled in something awful and had to be bathed outside in 30 degrees. No, I didn't do it. And yes, one was mine of course. (Brock)
We had eagles everywhere today, it was awesome. No photos though.

Then, I got some really sh*tty news. It kind of ruined my mood. I came home early.
Nothing overly tragic, and of course no one was affected like me.
Damn sensitivity.

I hope ya'll had an awesome Thanksgiving with your families :)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Where's That Cool Whip??

Wednesday, November 23

'Twas The Night

'Twas the night of Thanksgiving, and I just couldn't sleep.
I tried counting backwards, I tried counting sheep.
The leftovers beckoned, the dark meat and white,
But I fought the temptation with all of my might.

Tossing and turning with anticipation,
The thought of a snack became infatuation.
So I raced to the kitchen, flung open the door,
And gazed at the fridge full of goodies galore.

I gobbled up turkey and buttered potatoes,
Pickles and carrots, beans and tomatoes.
I felt myself swelling so plump and so round,
Till all of a sudden, I rose off the ground!

I crashed through the ceiling.
Floating into the sky,
With a mouthful of pudding and a handful of pie.
But I managed to yell as I soared past the trees...

Happy eating to all! Pass the cranberries, please!

How Do They Know???

Your Blog Should Be Blue

Your blog is a peaceful, calming force in the blogosphere.
You tend to avoid conflict - you're more likely to share than rant.
From your social causes to cute pet photos, your life is a (mostly) open book.

Way Back Wednesday

I'm actually able to play WBW this week. It's goofy family pics week.
Even though it's not many family, I do have quite a few funny ones....so enjoy!!

These are all of my sister and I and various family members. Obviously I don't have to tell you which one is me, and my sis is the smallest blonde.
I personally think the bathing suit one has got to be the funniest. I lived in that bathing suit.

Freedom---Pass it on

Passing it on.....
Found this at Just A Girl who passed it on from Euphoric Reality.

All Bloggers & Readers - PASS THIS ON

So, if you’re another blogger - no matter how big or small your blog, no matter if you’re liberal* or conservative - please copy this soldier’s letter and post it at your own place. If you’re a reader, email the letter or print it out and share it with others. ___________________________________________
Preface from
Sgt. Hook:
I received an email from a mother whose son is currently fighting in Iraq with the 101st Airborne Division. He and his platoon have penned a message to the American public that is a little different from the message we are getting via the MSM. He asked his mom to help get this message out and she asked me. Here it is from the soldiers on the ground…

Mom,
Be my voice. I want this message heard. It is mine and my platoon’s to the country. A man I know lost his legs the other night. He is in another company in our batallion. I can no longer be silent after watching the sacrifices made by Iraqis and Americans everyday. Send it to a congressman if you have to. Send it to FOX news if you have to. Let this message be heard please…

My fellow Americans, I have a task for those with the courage and fortitude to take it. I have a message that needs not fall on deaf ears. A vision the blind need to see. I am not a political man nor one with great wisdom. I am just a soldier who finds himself helping rebuild a country that he helped liberate a couple years ago.

I have watched on television how the American public questions why their mothers, fathers, brothers, and sisters are fighting and dying in a country 9000 miles away from their own soil. Take the word of a soldier, for that is all I am, that our cause is a noble one. The reason we are here is one worth fighting for. A cause that has been the most costly and sought after cause in our small span of existence on our little planet. Bought in blood and paid for by those brave enough to give the ultimate sacrifice to obtain it. A right that is given to every man, woman, and child I believe by God. I am talking of freedom.

Freedom. One word but yet countless words could never capture it’s true meaning or power. “For those who have fought for it, freedom has a taste the protected will never know.” I read that once and it couldn’t be more true. It’s not the average American’s fault that he or she is “blind and deaf” to the taste of freedom. Most Americans are born into their God-given right so it is all they ever know. I was once one of them. I would even dare to say that it isn’t surprising that they take for granted what they have had all their life. My experiences in the military however opened my eyes to the truth.

Ironically you will find the biggest outcries of opposition to our cause from those who have had no military experience and haven’t had to fight for freedom. I challenge all of those who are daring enough to question such a noble cause to come here for just a month and see it first hand. I have a feeling that many voices would be silenced.
I watched Cindy Sheehan sit on the President’s lawn and say that America isn’t worth dying for. Later she corrected herself and said Iraq isn’t worth dying for. She badmouthed all that her son had fought and died for. I bet he is rolling over in his grave.
Ladies and gentleman I ask you this. What if you lived in a country that wasn’t free? What if someone told you when you could have heat, electricity, and water? What if you had no sewage systems so human waste flowed into the streets? What if someone would kill you for bad-mouthing your government? What if you weren’t allowed to watch TV, connect to the internet, or have cell phones unless under extreme censorship? What if you couldn’t put shoes on your child’s feet?

You need not have a great understanding of the world but rather common sense to realize that it is our duty as HUMAN BEINGS to free the oppressed. If you lived that way would you not want someone to help you????
The Iraqis pour into the streets to wave at us and when we liberated the cities during the war they gathered in the thousands to cheer, hug and kiss us. It was what the soldiers in WW2 experienced, yet no one questioned their cause!! Saddam was no better than Hitler! He tortured and killed thousands of innocent people. We are heroes over here, yet Americans badmouth our President for having us here.

Every police station here has a dozen or more memorials for officers that were murdered trying to ensure that their people live free. These are husbands, fathers, and sons killed every day. What if it were your country? What would your choice be? Everything we fight for is worth the blood that may be shed. The media never reports the true HEROISM I witness everyday in the Iraqis. Yes, there are bad one’s here, but I assure you they are a minuscule percent. Yet they are a number big enough to cause worry in this country’s future.
I have watched brave souls give their all and lose their lives and limbs for this cause. I will no longer stand silent and let the “deaf and blind” be the only voice shouting. Stonewall Jackson once said, “All that I have, all that I am is at the service of the country.” For these brave souls who gave the ultimate sacrifice, including your son Cindy Sheehan, I will shout till I can no longer. These men and women are heroes. Their spirit lives on in their military and they will never be forgotten. They did not die in vain but rather for a cause that is larger than all of us.
My fellow countrymen and women, we are not overseas for our country alone but also another. We are here to spread democracy and freedom to those who KNOW the true taste of it because they fight for it everyday. You can see the desire in their eyes and I am honored to fight alongside them as an Infantryman in the 101st Airborne.

Freedom is not free, but yet it is everyone’s right to have. Ironic, isn’t it? That is why we are here. Though you will always have the skeptics, I know that most of our military will agree with this message. Please, at the request of this soldier spread this message to all you know. We are in Operation Iraqi Freedom and that is our goal. It is a cause that I and thousands of others stand ready to pay the ultimate sacrifice for because, Cindy Sheehan, freedom is worth dying for, no matter what country it is! And after the world is free only then can we hope to have peace.

* If you are a liberal reading this, and one who subscribes to the oxymoron “I support the troops, but not the war”, I wonder if you have enough intestinal fortitude to read this sergeant’s words, understand them, and pass them on, as per his request. If you really support the troops - will you perform this one small request from one of them?
If you have your own blog, you now have the chance to show your support for the troops in a very small way that costs you NOTHING.

Potty Training?

Okay..I've seen enough for today....

Go
HERE and read.

Found it at
Samantha's, she always has the best stuff.

Enjoy!

Blither

Check out the purple sky from the other night. I kept forgetting that I took it. Pretty, eh?

We had dinner with neighbors last night, it was really nice. I know I've mentioned this many times, but it's just such a nice change to just hang out, have a few Heinekens (or wine for others) and talk. I miss talking sometimes. Which is funny since I hate being on the phone.

We had homemade tacos, even deep fried tortillas for taco shells. We played Yahtzee, which I haven't played in years and years. Another couple played darts. Nice music, No TV. It's such the simple life up here that it is refreshing. Even though I do complain about boredom alot. It is so wild to me that there are still families that play board games and kids that play outside.

I even know a few up here who don't have TV's or computers.....eeks can you imagine?? I would certainly lose my mind.
Actually up higher in the mountains there are families without power and running water. Eeks again.
I'll tell you now, we are not that mountain-like. Which I guess you figured out after you saw the truck we just bought :)

There is definitely a different mentality up here. Everyone wears guns or carries one somewhere, truck etc. I don't do either.
Many are not very clean, or have beards down to their chests.
Everyone has horses, cows and dogs. All dogs ride with the owners everywhere, and usually in the back of a pick-up, which I hate. Of course, that gives Hub more business.
All the women have long straight hair. Which makes more sense to me now, since there are no hair salons around. Or, not any I would go to. That's why my hair has gotten so long.
When in Rome I guess.
I won't be growing a beard or stop bathing though. No worries:)

Tired, And I wanna go home.........

It has been a VERY long day, I'm just now getting home. Being gone all day reminded me of how much I love being home--alone! Uggh.

I do though, now have my brand new truck..and it is AWESOME.

I'll post pics tomorrow.

oh and I have heard that the death of the child, in my previous post, is actually being investigated.

Beliefs

I had a neighbor stop by for awhile last night. They told me that our neighbors across the way lost their four old son.
They are missionaries and he contracted some kind of disease while out of the country. They are a certain religion and don't believe in seeing doctors.
They believed that God would handle it.
He died in his fathers arms.

Details are still sketchy.
I'm still not sure what to think.

I guess sometimes your beliefs are that strong. They believed if God took him, then there was a reason.
I believe sometimes that things happen for a reason, but I'm not sure I could have let my son die without medical treatment.

Of course I'm not them, I wasn't there, and I know nothing about their religion.
I think I'm going to read up a bit about it today and I'll get back to ya.

Dr. Dr...Give me the news.....

Well I have a little time to play around before I head to the Big City. I forget that Idaho is an hour earlier than me. Definitely don't want to go sit in a waiting room too early!

Nobody gets lollipops?? Actually I have noticed here in Montana, that most businesses you go to have bowls of candy out. I like :)

It's 33 degrees this morning, foggy and wet. Need.More.Snow.
I'm starting to get used to typing on the laptop..but won't miss it.

I did find out that my migraines that I've been getting for many many years might be associated with my jaw. (hence, appt's today).
If ya'll remember awhile back I had gone to the orthodontist to look into braces and found out that my jaw is not lined right. They discussed jaw surgery, which I was not very excited about.
I have found out now, I have other options, will take awhile, and will cost......
Are you ready??

With treatment and braces, it will be about $10,000.
Yep...My mouth is worth alot of money...heehee. (Watch it!)

So, lots of poking and prodding today, bleh.
Bloodwork, double bleh.
Ice cream aftewards....KEWL.

Damn Computer

Okay, so I found out it was my fan. My fan died, my computer kept overheating and abusing me.

Dammit.

I have a couple of doctors appts today and an ortho appt. so I won't be around much.
I try to schedule all medical appts on one day since the big city is an hour away.
WooHoo...paper gowns for everyone!!
At least they give me a lollipop. :)

Ya'll think of me today...it won't be fun.

I hope to have my computer back tonight, I miss it so :)

Ya'll have a great day:)

Okay, finally....here's a photo of this morning. I had to download a few programs onto the laptop.

PC is at the doctor :(

It's snowing though....:)

Grrrrr

I've been having computer issues since last night...uggh.
I can't seem to stay on for more than about 20 minutes. It won't let me post any pics either:(
Bummer too...nice blanket of snow last night!

I have a computer whiz neighbor, so I will be running it over to him today.

And I've always got the lap-top so I guess I can't complain too much, even though I hate typing on it and I HATE that wierd mouse.

Okay, done complaining now.

Can't Wait

I definitely need THESE. Watch the Video!
I see my camera getting alot of use.

Dreams

I had the strangest dream last night. I won't go into every detail, but it did involve animals in my yard. YES, I know that is normal around here, but some were odd animals and they all wanted in the house. In my dream I was afraid that the alligator was going to hurt the dog, and the dog was growling at the lizard. I got the bear to go away by giving him a toy.

Anyway, I went to
Dreammoods just to see what the animals meant. I don't usually look up my dreams, but it is interesting that there is a fact in each of these descriptions that fits me perfectly in my life today.

Alligator:
To see an alligator in your dream, symbolizes treachery, deceit, and hidden instincts. It may be a signal for you to take a new perspective on a situation. It may also represent your ability to move between the material world of waking life and the emotional, repressed world of the unconscious. Alternatively, the alligator represents healing powers and qualities.

Lizard:
To see a lizard in your dream, signifies your primal instincts and reactions toward sex, food, etc. and your anxieties toward these feelings. The lizard can also be representative of a person who you view as cold-blooded, fearful, or thick-skinned. On a more positive note, the lizard also symbolizes emerging creativity, renewal, and revitalization. It may also suggest that you are well-grounded.

Bear:
To dream that you are being pursued or attacked by a bear, denotes aggression, overwhelming obstacles and competition. You may find yourself in a threatening situation. Alternatively, bears symbolize the cycle of life and death and renewal. It may signal of period of introspection and thinking. The dream may also be a pun on "bare". Perhaps you need to bare your soul and let everything out into the open.

Dog:
To see a dog in your dream, indicates a skill that you have ignored or forgotten, but needs to be activated. Alternatively, dogs may symbolize intuition, loyalty, generosity, protection, and fidelity. Your own values and intentions will enable you to go forward in the world and succeed. If the dog is vicious and/or growling, then it signifies some inner conflict within yourself. It may indicate betrayal and untrustworthiness. If the dog is dead or dying, then it indicates a loss of a good friend. Alternatively, it represents a deterioration of your instincts.

Dream Facts

Thought this was kind of interesting

1. One third of our lives is spent sleeping.
2. In your lifetime, you would've spent about 6 years of it dreaming. That is more than 2,100 days spent in a different world.
3. Dreams have been here as long as mankind. Back in the Roman Era, striking and significant dreams were submitted to the Senate for analysis and interpretation.
4. Everybody dreams. EVERYBODY! Simply because you do not remember your dream does not mean that you did not dream.
5. Dreams are indispensable. A lack of dream activity can mean protein deficiency or a personality disorder.
6. We dream on average of one or two hours every night. And we often even have 4-7 dreams in one night.
7. Blind people do dream. Whether visual images will appear in their dream depends on whether they where blind at birth or became blind later in life. But vision is not the only sense that constitutes a dream. Sounds, tactility, and smell become hypersensitive for the blind and their dreams are based on these senses.
8. Five minutes after the end of the dream, half the content is forgotten. After ten minutes, 90% is lost.
9. The word dream stems from the Middle English word, dreme which means "joy" and "music".
10. Men tend to dream more about other men, while women dream equally about men and women.
11. Studies have shown that our brain waves are more active when we are dreaming than when we are awake.
12. Dreamers who are awakened right after REM sleep, are able to recall their dreams more vividly than those who slept through the night until morning.
13. Physiologically speaking, researchers found that during dreaming REM sleep, males experience erections and females experience increased vaginal blood flow - no matter what the content of the dream. In fact, "wet dreams" may not necessarily coincide with overtly sexual dream content.
14. People who are giving up smoking have longer and more intense dreams.
15. Toddlers do not dream about themselves. They do not appear in their own dreams until the age of 3 or 4.
16. If you are snoring, then you cannot be dreaming.
17. Nightmares are common in children, typically beginning at around age 3 and occurring up to age 7-8.
18. In a poll, 67% of Americans have experienced Deja Vu in their dreams, occurring more often in females than males.

Blah-Blah-Blah

It's 5:30 am and it's snowing outside. That's all I got.
I sit here and stare at this screen and I have nothing to tell ya.
It's been a very quiet week so far. In many ways I have no complaints about that.
No choking animals, no fire danger, no bear.

But, I have nothing to post about.
I haven't taken any
photos this week, tsk-tsk.
Too bad I can't share my camera with
Laura. :)
I want to make my own redhead site, so if any of ya'll have any cool redhead info, or pics or poetry, send it my way :)

I use my porch now for the beer cooler.
I've got deer regularly sleeping in the yard now. I guess they want to be first in line
for breakfast.
The raccoons are still here nightly, and the flying squirrels have returned.
Now there's an awesome site if you haven't seen one. They only show up at night though, so no good pics.

It's 6:18am now. Geez..I'm boring myself now.
I'm outta here.

Ya'll go do the right thing.

Predators

Geesh, is anyone watching MSNBC this morning??

This story of predators on the internet is frightening.
This group gets online posing as children, usually in the 12-15 age range, in chat rooms, and attract many scary men. I'm not going to type it all since you can read about it at the two sites, but this is scary.
Watch your children on the internet.
