So..what's new. Hmmmm.
Believe it or not, it's still too early to plant the vegetables. No matter how long I've been here it's hard to believe that I can't plant at the end of May. We do have the tomatoes planted so far because those have a new little plastic dome over them.
I bought many many flowers and planted them today. This year I put a lot of them in pots on the porch, so that even if the deer eat my gardens, I still have some to enjoy. Many fragrant groups on the porch too :) I planted several jasmine bushes last year along with some lavender, so I'm hoping to have that awesome fragrance when you open the windows.
The bear are here as you can see. I have one momma with two cubs, and one solitary little black bear on his own. He only shows up at night, so no pics so far. The cubs are so fun to watch, but luckily easily scared away if necessary. In a couple weeks we should be seeing fawns.
I have a horse who knows magic. For the last three mornings Carmel has been loose and I can't find where she's getting out. I don't know if she's magic or someone's just messin with me. I wouldn't doubt either at this point.
This month is the perfect weather.... 70-80's during the day and 50's at night. I love it. Of course July and August will show up with their 90's and the AC gets turned on. Hard to believe I'm a Texan, eh?
We have two pair of geese that have made home here in our front yard. They bicker constantly if one pair moves too close to the other. It's funny to watch since they want to be here and sleep in the yard ( I love it ) or swim in the pond, but they're so territorial it's funny. One of the geese has a broken foot and hops around on the one working foot. He seems to do okay although slow..but seems to fly just fine.
As a few of you know, from FB, I had a little injury yesterday and had to go into Sandpoint to the ER for some stitches and a tetanus shot. The only reason I'm really bringing this up is to brag on the ER.
I've been to ER's before, usually driving someone else, and in bigger cities as Dallas or Arlington, but nothing like in Idaho.
I've been a few times so far and there's rarely a wait, you're seen so quickly and the staff is just awesome. Driving myself to the ER yesterday was no big deal... how many people can say that?
Leesa's Law is of course in full force. The injury and the magic horse escapes were all while he was out of town. Knowing him, he'd probably have wanted to stitch up my injury himself. Those darn doctors.
Anyway.. that might be it. I've worked too hard the day after my injury as now I'm suffering from it. Chillin now, having a beer and waiting on the Schwans guy.
