Waiting for Spring

Now a whole lot new around here.
We got about 8 inches in two days. Only about 4 left on the cars now. The sun's actually out a little today.
The plugs on the outside of my house and in the shop/garage have died. Which means that the horses water heater is now off. Luckily the horses will smush their noses through the top and break it, and luckily it hasn't been SO cold that they can't break it, but it just figures.

Still no deer, which just blows me away. Not much to photograph around here lately except for snow and birds. I need a kitten I think ;)

Water Boy

I posted this ages ago and just found it again on YouTube. I love it.
If I recall right, it was an award winning Evian commercial.

No Cake?

Three years I think. I'm pretty sure it was this month.
I haven't received any cards or gifts yet, so I may be mistaken :)

Happy Easter

Happy Easter, everyone :)

Sadly I can't even think of touching that cheesecake. It's definitely been an interesting last few days.
My septic system flooded the lower level of my house a few days ago. Not the yucky septic you're probably thinking, thank goodness, but mainly from the washing machine. I had a lower level with a few inches of water and soap.
I had a hell of a time getting someone to come out this far to fix it without charging me per mile. Roto Rooter was 2 hours away, imagine that cost.
I finally got someone to come out from Sandpoint. Still not cheap, but better.

Actually, let me backtrack, Amy did all the work because I was struck down with a virus. I think one of the worst ones I've ever had. I'm still on my third day of it, and even though I can actually sit up and walk around today, I can't eat. I don't even want to eat.
A neighbor offered to take Amy and Cody to the airport, so thankfully I didn't have to make that drive. The only things I've HAD to do is walk out and feed the horses. Kinda sucks that's how Amy's week here ended, but I still think she had a nice visit.

We even got a few more inches of snow her last day here, and it was 21 degrees this morning. Spring's approaching very slowly.

Mooses

Momma and baby moose in the next town over. They were in front of the school just chowin' away on a tree. They didn't seem to mind me or other photo nuts taking photos. I didn't get as many as I would have liked, but it was still exciting :)

Done With Snow

We're in the yucky "in-between" Winter and Spring stage. It's muddy, cold-ish, snow and rain mixed together. All fun. We even got a few inches of snow this morning.

It's been a calm couple of days really, even with the Texans here. We went on a little photo journey yesterday and did a little shopping.
The horses broke down their fence and we found them in the front yard.. yay. I'm starting to see the damage to all the fencing now that the snow is melting. Alot of bended fencing and cracks. Weird since it's treated wood, but it looks like we'll be replacing a lot of fencing. And of course, the horses are smart enough to kick the weak wood :)

I've been working on a new photo website for the past two days. It's a lot of work when you're doing it yourself. I've been resizing and loading photos, changing colors about a million times and working on music. My eyes are going wonky.

The husband is smoking a brisket tomorrow and we'll be having dinner with the neighbors. I think there might even be some horseback riding.
Photos to come, I'm sure :)

So Sad....

She's resorted to highway robbery to support her Little Debbie addiction.

Not Much

Hmmm..what to talk about?
We're slowwwly moving into Spring. Even though we've yet to reach any higher than 45, the snow is slowly melting and the spring birds are here. That's one of the best things here to hear the birds singing in the mornings.
The sis is in court this morning as some of you know and I get brief updates every now and then. It's been interesting and a little scary for her, but I think everything will be okay. I'm sure she'll blog about it when she gets home. Either that or hit happy hour.
She'll fly in here tomorrow night and spend the week here. Kind of perfect after dealing with a custody hearing, eh?

Not really much else new around here. I hope to start seeing deer again soon. It's weird to be here without wildlife.

Remember This??

This is Laura's fault :)

(**and scary enough, I still know all the words)

Friday, March 7

It's Friday. . . .

Nothing new here.
It's cold and the sun is gone.

You should check out the sis' blog, they had a winter storm.

Just tragic.

Slacker

Wow.. didn't realize it had this long without posting. Although, there's nothing to post about really.
I had two sunny really pretty days, and then one day when a foot of snow fell, and today is back to sunny and blue skies. I'm really missing the blue skies.
My washer and dryer are both broken. It's not like I have laundromats around, even though I'm pretty sure I wouldn't go anyway. I can't get anyone to come out here and fix them since we're so far out from where we bought them. I guess I'm supposed to load them up in the car, eh?

I did let Mickey go, and thankfully I haven't had a cat bring him back to me.

Hmmm..well I guess that's it :)
