Rainbows through the Rain

So most of the stuff I've been posting has been kind of a downer, so I do actually have some fun news.

Osbasso blessed me with tickets to see Seinfeld in November! I am very excited about this! It is a 5 hour drive to Helena, but since I don't get out much, this is okay with me :) Maybe I'll even meet Osbasso!

The hub has booked a fishing trip in February to
Alaska, that will be very cool!

I got two new pairs of boots!! Yay for me:)

Cowboy boots..the hub's fave and Uggs..my fave.
Gotta love boots! Uggs are perfect for here, if any of you have never tried them on. You wear them barefoot and they mold to your feet. I wore these last winter all the time, feet never got cold or wet. I have at least 5 pair :) Did I say Yay?

We've cleared away anything that might attract the bear, so hopefully they will come and go when there's nothing exciting around. Hub is out of here today, so I'm on my own for the next week. Don't want NO bear!

I got some really great comments and emails from you about my Mom and I really appreciate it. Even though none of it is a surprise to me, it was nice to hear the kind words and know I'm not the only one who deals with something like this. Thanks again:)

So, sometimes the rainbows do show up after the storms:)

This Morning

Another Thought

"I wanted a perfect ending... Now, I've learned, the hard way, that some poems don't rhyme, and some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment, and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next. Delicious ambiguity."

Be Still My Heart

No Way Back Wednesday for me. I didn't go to Homecoming.

Yes it's 3am..know why I'm up? Hard guess I'm sure.
I had a bear this morning. A BIG one. I heard him, switched on the porch light and there he was staring at me through the door.
Scared the bajeezus out of me. My heart is still racing.

I'm wide awake now.

Where is everybody???

Bad Max

Max was here last night. Bad Bear! Bad Bear!

Just A Thought

Got Teef?

I just had to share this. This sign is hanging at a local BBQ place. Ya'll smile now! :)

TMI Tuesday

Go check out TMI Tuesday by clicking on the "I kiss and tell" box :)

1. How long do you carry guilt around with you? If I've hurt someone's feelings, probably longer than I can remember.
2. If you were single and could be with any one person, who would it be (thinking singer/actor here, but whatever)? We're going with singer/actor here? George Clooney definitely. I could think of others though:)

3. What is that one thing that gets you going the fastest and just makes you melt? Sweet talk, compliments, charm. Sigh.....
4. Do you gossip? Not that would hurt anyone, No.
5. Do you take reading material with you to the bathroom (that's for
Mama Duck)? Umm, No.

Bonus! On a scale from 1-10, how loud are you? Hmm...I'd say a 3.

The little visitor.

It was cold and foggy, and I had to take these fast since these guys don't hang around for long.

So, not my best work.

But cool, no??

Road Trip, Part 4

Last of the road trip!! You can click on these to see them larger.
The left pic is the closest amusement park. It's pretty sad, but it's crowded most of the time! Makes me miss Six Flags BIG time. Middle--just a pretty tree.
Right is heading into Sandpoint, that is lake Pend Oreille. Up to the left there is Dog Beach where everyone can take their dogs. Pretty cool:)

Road Trip, Part 3

More road trip photos. Far left with all the trees is where we get our Christmas tree. For 15$ you cut your own tree, any size. Last year our tree was about 7 feet tall.
Middle road shot is heading back towards home.
Clark Fork River to your right.

Road Trip, Part 2

These loaded really wierd didn't they?

This is my roadtrip to Coeur d'Alene.
Different photos of where I live.
This is also the same drive I take to Sandpoint to go to the
dreaded Wallyworld.

You can click on these to see them bigger.
More to come!

Road Trip

Well I took the trip to Coeur d'Alene, ID. to go to Costco. It was a really beautiful drive, the colors are changing and the sun was out. I took ya'll with me, so many pics are downloading as we speak.
Just remember they are all taken from my car, so not great quality.
Stay Tuned!! Oh and the tree to the left is from our driveway...purty, eh?

Trick or Treat? Anyone??

As I stood outside tonight with the dogs ( in a fenced yard) I thought of Halloween.
The coyotes were howling tonight, along with the cows. Err..I guess they were mooing. Whatever.

I was thinking how cool Halloween could be here if anything ever went on in this town. We have such dark forests, and creepy sounds at night. Oh and I guess scary bear help too.

I love Halloween, haven't really celebrated it in 3 years. It is our anniversary too, so that at least adds something to it. My luck, Hub will be in CA.

I remember getting all the candy for trick-o-treaters, and decorating the front door. Putting the big trash bags out that look like pumpkins.

They always were stolen out of my yard by morning.
Carving pumpkins was fun too. Actually I would paint mine, everyone else would carve. Yes, I'm a girl sometimes.
The parties were always the best. Friends, good food, drinks, I miss it.
We usually had the parties at our house too.

We also had the Christmas parties. Probably because we usually had the biggest residence out of the people we worked with. Each Christmas we would have everyone bring a toy for Toys-for-Tots. It was amazing how many toys we would have to drop off the next morning.

Yes, I guess I'm reminiscing tonight.

Still no bear so far. Raccoons everywhere. It's about 40 degrees. Fire's still burning--which is good for me since I let the woodstove go out all the time. I get to go to Costco tomorrow, so that is cool. Of course the 1 hour 45 minute drive is not.

I got alot of interesting responses to my last post. .

Did I mention I was bored???

**Well I spoke too soon--Max was outside when I went to turn all the lights off.
Damn--I'm gettin' tired of ol' Max**

Warm Fuzzies

There's snow on the trees above me...
No bear last night...
Someone sent me Candy Corn...
Someone sent me liquor too...
There are 5 deer sleeping in my yard right now.

Ahh...I love warm fuzzies. What could be better than alcohol and candy corn??
I might keep adding to this list throughout the day...stay tuned:)

Yawn

Okay friends. I have to admit it. I'm bored. Seriously.

Don't get me wrong, I love this life and where I live, but I'm bored. It's getting lonely. Besides
photography, and blog, I just can't express myself enough. It's starting to drive me crazy. I've realized lately that I have alot more to express then I ever thought. I have alot to release and no way to do that.

I'm not much of a phone person. I don't go out much because I have all these
social issues. The only people I see sometimes in a week are the mail-lady and the UPS guy. The Hubs is busy and rarely has time to talk to me when in CA. Most of the time his cell phone won't work there.
Hell, ya'll hear most of the stories that happen here before he does.
You guys know my scary bear stories before he does.

This is not meant to be whiney..I'm not in a whiney mood at all. But, I'm just stating facts. I need some kind of release before I explode.

Winter is coming. I will get out and cross-country ski..I love that. No fear of bear, only mountain lions, and that's pretty rare.
The snow just makes me feel good. More photos to take too!
Hopefully my sis will be here soon and I can travel more.
I did start the
online school...but that's quiet and self-paced.

I've already painted most rooms in this house. TV is boring me. I find myself TIVO-ing my favorite shows instead of watching them. That's new. And I know ya'll will find this hard to believe, but I really DON'T just sit in front of this computer all the time. I have loud speakers and just leave it on all the time. If someone dings on IM...I can hear it anywhere. I've started reading again.

I miss movies. No movie theatres around here.
No food delivery. No convenience stores to run to for a pint of
Ben & Jerry's (Phish Food is my favorite:) No running to Friday's with my friends for Margaritas and greasy appetizers. No concerts.
Seinfeld is in Helena soon. Foxworthy is in Spokane soon. All require overnight stays if I want to go. I missed out on Seinfeld..his show sold out in minutes. May still be able to see Foxworthy. Probably not.

And I repeat..especially to one certain HANDSOME MAN I know..that you need to see
The Blue Collar Comedy Tours if ya'll haven't yet. It's way too funny. I can still watch both of them over and over. Hmm..maybe I'll put them on tonight!

Again..I repeat, I'm not looking for sympathy, just blogging how I feel. THIS is my release, so I'm releasing.

I've thought about going back to
work, but it's just not workable right now. I like emergency work, and there is nothing close. With winter coming I just don't want to have to drive over an hour to a job and add extra time for snow, ice, etc.
This house is a full time job. The horses, the dogs, the wood stove, gardens. All day upkeep.
Plus if I went back to work, and Hub only being home a few days a week, I would probably never see him. Vacations would be way too hard to schedule.

So. Here I am. Hmmph.

Blogroller

My Blogroll messes up alot, anyone else?
Sometimes people aren't where they are supposed to be.
Or it's not alphabetical.
