How Could I?
Oh man!! I forgot Bridget Jones!! I loved that movie!! I haven't seen the second one yet, waiting to buy it.
Whew....that was close!
Whew....that was close!
Top Ten (or 12, 15, whatever)
I decided to copy The Artful Blogger and list a Top Ten of Movies I like.
I decided to go through the movies I own, since I always buy the movies I really like.
As I was going through them I realized that I usually only buy feel good movies!
I used to love scary movies and tear jerkers, but I guess I've changed!!
I also seemed to pick the ones that I can watch over and over and over again.
Anyway, here's my list of a few of my favorites:
*While You Were Sleeping
*Dream For An Insomniac
*Men in Black 1 & 2
*Steel Magnolias--although I have to turn it off briefly when Shelby goes into the hospital.
*Fargo
*Finding Nemo
*O Brother Where Art Thou
*Lonesome Dove
*You've Got Mail
*Sleepless in Seattle (gotta love Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks!)
*The Shining (the original with Jack Nicholson)
*Halloween
*JAWS!!
*Sweet Home Alabama
*Two Weeks Notice
*Blue Collar Comedy Tour 1 & 2 (these are DAYUM funny!)
Now I know there are many others I'm not thinking of...mainly dramas. I wonder why I didn't buy those?
I recently purchased Mystic River & Spanglish, but haven't watched them yet.
I thought Unfaithful with Diane Lane was pretty good. But probably wouldn't watch it again.
Officer & A Gentleman is a good one. I'm not a big Mel Gibson fan (sorry Laura!!), but I have seen most of his movies except for Braveheart & The Passion. No desire to see either.
I did like The Patriot!! Oh and Titanic...I could watch that again.
Oh and I've bought my favorite TV show seasons on DVD. I can watch Sex & The City over and over again! I also bought Friends, Reba, Alias & Seinfeld. Oh and Southpark.
Can you tell I spend too much time in front of my TV?

*&%#@$ Computers!
Ok, so we buy this combo Fax/Scanner/printer/copier a few weeks ago. It set up fine and worked great.
Then, it decided to get this constant paper jam even though there was nothing in it. We did all the troubleshooting, called Support, blah blah blah.
We took it back.
Exchanged it for the exact same model.
I have been trying to get it set up all day! I'm ready to scream!
It's the same exact thing I had before. First I had all these stupid errors that I didn't understand anyway. Then, when I went to the "Help" section, it didn't have any
help for that error.
To make a long story short, I finally (after an hour) got it to download and do what it's supposed to. Kinda.
Now it won't open some of it's programs, and it won't let me set up the fax. ARRGGHHH.
How irritating. How come it works perfectly the first time, and not the second?
I've done all of the troubleshooting. I've uninstalled/reinstalled. I've started/restarted.
I've read the manual.
I've given up for now. My back hurts. My head hurts.
It's raining here today, again. I don't complain too much because it waters all the trees
and gardens. No rainbows today. :o(
A black bear was spotted down the road today, maybe I'll have a pic for ya'll soon!
I really don't have much else to say today.
My trip to California is all set up. I'm excited!! It's been awhile since I've been on
vacation. Do a little shoppin', a little eatin' out, a little cruisin' in the mustang. I'm taking
my laptop, so I don't go through Blog withdrawal!! I would miss you guys!
The hub has to work some of the trip, so I know I will have some alone time to blog.
Well, it's time to feed the herd, and then myself. Get away from this computer for a bit.
Sorry for the boring blog today. Blah-d-blah-d-blah.

Our Four Legged Friends
I just read about CheekyMoo's puppy. It is so sad.
I lost my cat Dallas in a similar way. She was an outside cat, which normally isn't my choice, but she was one of those cats that raised hell if I made her stay in. She LOVED it here in Montana. I'd had her for almost 10 years, found her in a tree in Michigan. She was an awesome cat, so friendly and loving.
She thrived outside and spent almost every moment out there except if it was freezing or storming. She was also longhaired and skinny. So, sadly I just didn't notice that she was losing weight until she started coming in at night because of the freezing temperatures.
That's when we noticed when she would come sleep in our laps that she was WAY.TOO.SKINNY.
We took her into the local vet (The Hub doesn't have the stuff here to do bloodwork) and they did the works. Couldn't find anything. Which usually leads you to think of cancer.
We brought her home and just made sure was eating. All of a sudden that changed. She didn't want to go outside anymore (BIG CLUE), she wasn't eating much so I started cooking chicken for her (her favorite!). I'm sure you can see where this is going, she stopped all normal activity.
On her last day, she had gone outside in the morning, came in the evening and even ate a small amount of chicken. I thought she was doing better. But then the decline came. She started walking around in circles, so I knew that her glucose must have been low. I tried to give her some corn syrup but it wasn't working. I then had to place her in a large crate because she couldn't walk straight. The Hub wasn't supposed to be home for two days and I knew I couldn't put her through that for that long.
I watched her all night, only sleeping little bits and by morning she had respiratory difficulty and was obviously suffering. I at least knew that she knew that I had been with her all night. I positioned her crate so that she could see me the whole time. Her little foot even curled around my finger when I held it.
I knew after talking to Hub that I was either going to have to drive her into Sandpoint (45 minutes) or put her to sleep myself. I didn't want to put her through the drive because the car stressed her out. I didn't want her last moments to be anymore stressed.
I put her to sleep in the comfort of my lap. It was horrible, but peaceful at the same time. My face was the last one she saw before she died. I really miss her, but I know she's in Kitty Heaven, chasing mice and birds and eating home cooked chicken.
I didn't mean to take away from CheekyMoo or Daisy, but just wanted to share my story on how I understand what it means to say goodbye.
Okay, I think I need a drink now. It's 5:00 somewhere, right?

Next Assignment
Before I start my next assigment, I thought I'd wrap up my day. First we finished
building the horse fence. I definitely know that if I should have to work again, this will
NOT be my choice. It's done now, so we are ready for our third horse...good grief.
I went with the HUB to vaccinate some horses today and a Bed & Breakfast here in Heron.
Wow
Was I impressed! This place was beautiful!! I took a few pictures, they are over on my
photo site along with their web address. They had a petting zoo so I snapped away at goats
and llama's, chickens and roosters, peacocks. It was great! I highly recommend this place
if any of you ever decide you'd like to visit Montana.
I have been invited to go back anytime to photograph wildlife, so you might see some on here!
They have herds of Elk that hang out on the property about dusk. Bear too!
We get these animals too, but not in such abundance.
Go check it out! www.Amberbearinn.com
Okay, now to my homework:
The Meme: Pick three professions, then tag away. They are...If I could be a scientist... If I could be a farmer...If I could be a musician... If I could be a doctor...If I could be a painter... If I could be a gardener...If I could be a missionary... If I could be a chef...If I could be an architect... If I could be a linguist...If I could be a psychologist... If I could be a librarian...If I could be an athlete... If I could be a lawyer...If I could be an innkeeper... If I could be a professor...If I could be a writer... If I could be a backup dancer...If I could be a llama-rider... If I could be a bonnie pirate...If I could be a midget stripper... If I could be a proctologist...If I could be a TV-Chat Show host... If I could be an actor...If I could be a judge... If I could be a Jedi...If I could be a mob boss... If I could be a backup singer …If I could be a CEO... If I could be a movie reviewer …If I could be a filmmaker... If I could be a sherpa...If I could be a ninja... If I could be a cab driver...
If I could be a chef: I would definitely be a pastry chef! I love to make desserts and the decorating details are fascinating! I would own my own bakery and serve fancy desserts and fancy coffee. I would enter all of those Dessert Cook-offs on The Food Network and Kick Butt!!
If I could be a painter: I would paint with my hands, and provide beautiful murals. I would love to paint on sides of buildings and make them beautiful! I would do the walls in hospitals so that it would always brighten someone's day.
If I could be a back up singer: I would definitely be singing with Reba McEntire. I think she is awesome and her voice is amazing. She seems so down to earth and real.
***Okay, I know I'm supposed to Tag someone, but I've looked around and everyone's done it! If you see this and you like it, copy away!***

Homework 101
Ok, here's my first blog homework assignment!
Reveal What Is Your Most Embarrasing Moment? I'd probably have to say that about 12 years ago I went to a party and drank WAY.TOO.MUCH, and I know for a fact that I had some intimate moments with one of the guys there (not TOO intimate though), and I have no idea who. I know that people at the party saw me, but nobody ever fessed up. I was pretty embarrassed about that for along time! I worked with these people!! And to top it all off, it was so unlike me, so I was just bothered by what all these people thought of me. Of course now, I don't even know where any of them are anymore.
What Band/Singer You Would Never Admit Listening to? Probably the Go Go's. I went to many of their concerts in high school...I really liked them! I still have a cassette and pop it in every now and then!
What is The Cheesiest Movie You Could Watch Over & Over Again? I love to watch the Rocky Horror Picture show! I practically know all the words, I used to go to the midnight show every weekend in my younger days. Oh, and I have the A*L*B*U*M!
Which Superhero would you be? Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Which Movie Character Do You Most Identify With? Well I have the same answer as
Greekchickie.......I totally related to Sandra Bullock in While You Were Sleeping. I spent
most of my younger life alone, with my cat(s). I spent holidays alone, and I've even had the cat dish on the table and the cat ate with me! I've loved someone from afar that would have
never given me a second look. I've also spent holidays at other families houses and watched with envy as they celebrated and opened gifts.
What Book Would You Recommend? I loved The Regulators & Desperation by Stephen King. He actually wrote The Regulators under Richard Bachman. They are both great books and they are the same characters but exact opposite, like Bizarro world. I loved them!
What is the Last Dream you remember? I was in the show Everybody Loves Raymond, and it was like I belonged there. Very wierd.
What is Your Favourite Board Game? I don't play board games much anymore, but I did like Taboo and Pictionary.
What is Your Unusual Talent? I can fold my tongue over. I've heard that not many people can do it. I can also make an awesome cheesecake...any flavor..not sure if that's unusual or not, but I've been asked to make and sell them before.
If you could be any animal, which one would you be and why? Definitely a house cat. Especially one of mine! Spoiled, Fat ,Lazy, Sleep all Day and have owners that love you.
Okay, one down........one to go!!
